About the event

What does Yin & Yang Yoga mean?

In Chinese philosophy, the Yin-Yang principle describes two opposing forces that relate to each other and should be in balance. Yang stands for movement, Yin for stillness. These opposing components can also be found in yoga practice.

Yang-influenced postures are dynamic, muscularly demanding, warming and can usually only be held for a few breaths. They include backbends and standing postures, for example. In contrast, Yin Yoga is about slowly sinking into the asanas and staying there for a longer period of time. Inner peace is achieved here through external peace. These are usually sitting or lying postures that are carried out with particular care and thus have a calming effect and give enough space to breathe. In the hectic pre-Christmas period, it is particularly important to take time to feel inside yourself and allow yourself to let go. This special takes place throughout the pre-Christmas period, every Thursday with Lea. Register via MySports or info@thegoodgym.de
